Josh Kolodny
Early life and career
Born and raised in Garfield Heights, Ohio, Kolodny attended John Carroll University where he was a DJ and Production Director for the university's radio station, WJCU. While attending college, Kolodny began working at Cleveland, Ohio's heritage rock station, WMMS. Kolodny developed a presence on The Maxwell Show, a popular afternoon talk show, which led to more work as a weekend DJ. Kolodny eventually landed a position at iHeartMedia Top 40 sister-station 96.5 KISS FM, working locally in Cleveland for the New York City-based and nationally-syndicated Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show
Kolodny earned the moniker Coaster Boy Josh after impressing the Morning Show with his knowledge of amusement parks and successfully organizing the show's 2009 summer promotion, The Elvis Duran Roller Coaster Tour. [1]
In the fall of 2010, Kolodny moved to New York City to work directly for the Morning Show. Since then, he has been the Morning Show's "Creative Services Director" while also contributing on-air with various topics, Phone Taps and bits like The Josh Pit Mosh Pit and Out-of-Tune Name-That-Tune. [2]
