José Ortiz (born July 28, 1952 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico), is a Puerto Rican astrologer and psychic [1] known as (El Buen Samaritano) which translates into English as The Good Samaritan.[2] This name was given to him by his followers and has stuck over the years. He is also commonly referred to as Professor, Teacher, my Good Samaritan, Brother Joseph, the Astrologer, the Santero, the Psychic, and Clairvoyant.[3][4]
Radio Debut
At the age of 14, Ortiz was invited to a radio station known as WADO radio in New York where presenter and actress Gilda Miró interviewed him about his claims to psychic powers.[5] The president of the radio station was so impressed, he gave Ortiz his own show on radio station WHBI in NY. Ortiz was subsequently invited to participate with a famous speaker named Polito Vega, along with Luisa Martinez known as Super KQ,[6] in the city of New York where Jose would predict forecasts, read horoscopes, and offer messages of interest to his radio audience. His forecasts and predictions caused great impact in arousing public interest and attention of local media, national and international.[7]
TV Debut
During the early 1980s, José Ortiz El Buen Samaritano, began to appear on local and international television. His predictions about politics, natural disasters, entertainment, and many others, appeared on programs on Telemundo and UniVision. Programs such as Wake Up America with Giselle Blondet, the show of Pedro Sevcec, Astros Stars, The Hot Seat with Patricia Janiot, the Padre Alberto Cutie show, Saturday 47 Telemundo with the famous Radio announcer Luis Jimenez, WKAQ-TV, and several others.[8]
Predictions
His predictions made top headlines on newspapers, magazine covers, Telemundo and Univisión.[9]
Jose's prophecies have been broadcast on television stations in the U.S such as. W.S.C.Y. Channel 51 Hialeah, Florida, K.X.T.V. Channel 39 in Texas, K.F.W.D. 52 in Dallas Texas, W.T.M.O. Channel 40 in Orlando, Fl, W.R.M.Z. Channel 57 Tampa, FL, R.T.V.E. Channel 51 in Philadelphia, W.B.N.X., Super K.Q W.N.D.O., and WADO radio in New York.[10]
