Jonacatepec

Jonacatepec is a city in the Mexican state of Morelos. It stands at 18°41′N 98°48′W / 18.683°N 98.800°W / 18.683; -98.800.

The city serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipality of the same name. The municipality reported 13 623 inhabitants in the year 2000 census.

The name Jonacatepec comes from the Nahuatl language and means "on the hill where there are onions".
