Jiby Charles (born August 7, 1982) is an Indian photographer who focuses on Wildlife Photography, Street Photography and Cinematography in South Indian movies. He is a Certified & Trusted Google Street View Photographer.

Jiby Charles is a well-known photographer and researcher in South India. He has been a part of many projects, researching and documenting the streets and life of various cities in India. One of the major projects Charles was a part of, documenting the life in a city, was Project 365 which was done in association with the Government of India. This was a photo documentation initiative, documenting the life and times of Thiruvannamalai, an ancient temple city in Tamil Nadu, India.

Life and work

Jiby Charles, originally from Kochi (Perumbavoor) and based in Bangalore is an adventurer, who follows what is right to his heart. He is very passionate about photography and never tried to keep it only as his passion, but beyond that. Google’s latest concept of street view photography offered a lot of photographers, how they can act as a catalyst using their frames for a lot of businesses online.

In August 2015, He was chosen as one among the 25 participants across India, to be a part of Project365. He was selected to document “SOCIOLOGY AND ECOLOGY OF ARUNACHAL HILLS” of Tiruvannamalai and surroundings.
