Jesse Aaron Dwyre is a Canadian actor in television and film. He starred in the movies Imitation and Adam's Wall. He is also a musician, mainly as a drummer with the musical outfits Stylewinder and DearBombardier.

Acting

Jesse Aaron Dwyre graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada. He performed in roles that range from Shakespearian lovers to modern day street punks. His theatrical appearances have taken him across Canada, and in 2005, Jesse was nominated for "Best Supporting Actor" at The Betty Mitchell Awards.

His on screen appearances include as Romeo in Romeo & Juliet for Bravo!, NBC's 10.5: Apocalypse, as Leigh Hunt in Mary Shelley.

In Imitation, a 2006 movie directed by Frederico Hidalgo, he plays the role of Fenton, a grocery-store stock boy in Montreal who wants to help Teresa (played by Vanessa Bauche) who is searching for her husband that left her in Mexico on was unheard of again after a failed shipment of Mexican produce to Montreal. This emotionally ambitious and frequently comedic feature follows the two as they travel across Montreal, often encountering colorful characters who lead them to the final denouement, where Teresa will have more explaining to do than she ever expected.

In Adam's Wall[1] a 2008 movie tale of forbidden love between a Jewish boy and a Lebanese girl directed by Michael Mackenzie and produced by Ziad Touma of Couzin Films, Dwyre plays role of Adam Levy, a Jewish teenager from Montreal's Mile-End district and he falls head over heels in love with a pretty young Lebanese girl Yasmine Gibran (played by Flavia Bechara), only to find himself torn between his Orthodox upbringing and his devotion to the captivating beauty.

He is also in 2008 production "Shakespeare in Words and Music" with Dawn Ford, Meghanne Kessels and Andrew Shaver in the context of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.

Jesse has trained at the Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre Training and performed at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, in Romeo & Juliet, Caesar and Cleopatra, Love's Labours Lost, Three Sisters directed by Martha Henry, and was featured as Ezekiel Edgeworth the stealthy cutpurse in Bartholomew Fair.

In 2009/10 Jesse was named to the inaugural class of the Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory chaired by Kiefer Sutherland. He has also created, written and starred in " Silas & the Tomb". The short film is set in the late nineteenth century and spans both the silent film comedy and horror genres. The BRAVO network has supplied funding through its Bravo!FACT program and is set to be completed in spring of 2010.

Music

Jesse is also a keen drummer and has played it since he was 5. As an ardent student of jazz and Brazilian rhythms, he has backed many jazz groups in Montreal, has co-written / recorded two albums with the rock group DearBombardier and is currently recording a new project with multi-instrumentalist / arranger Jeremy Daw. He swings with "Swing Guitars Duo", a gypsy jazz ensemble tributing Django Reinheart, and also with the "Apartment 5 Swing Band" headed up by TJ Plenty (formerly of the Asexuals).

He has collaborations with Jeremy Daw at "Summit Sound", in the high energy indie-punk outfit Stylewinder (made up of Jeremy Daw, Kyle Porter and Jesse Dwyre). The band released two full length albums Omnivigant in 2000 and Incidental Music in 2002.

Jesse and Jeremy went on to form DearBombardier musical group in 2007.

Jesse Aaron Dwyre was born in Kingston, Ontario, but grew up in Lyndhurst. He has one younger brother, Joshua Lucas Dwyre. His father's name is Joseph (Joe) Dwyre.
