Jason Trost (entrepreneur)

Jason Trost is an American entrepreneur based in London. He cofounded Smarkets, the UK-based online gambling site, in 2008.[1][2]

He is regularly cited in the mainstream press for his expertise in the online gambling field and around gambling regulation.[3][4][5][6][7] Trost has also been cited for his work in prediction markets[8] , providing analysis around the US 2016 presidential election among others.[9]

Personal life

Trost is a graduate of Computer science from Northwestern University and previously worked as a financial trader at Great Point Capital in Chicago, Illinois.[10][11] Trost was married on 27 February 2016 to Astrid Hugentobler.[12]
