Early life and career

Maguire is the nephew of another former jockey Adrian Maguire.[2] He started out in Irish pony races and as he started his career rode his first winner, Search For Peace at Cheltenham on 12 November 1999. He then went on to ride for Tom George's stable for the next seven years and had a Cheltenham Festival victory on Galileo in 2002.
