Influencers Dinner

The Influencers Dinner is a secret dining experience started in New York in 2009 by behavior expert and social engineer Jon Levy.[1] Twelve thought leaders, tastemakers, and influencers from various industries attend each dinner. During the course of the experience they are not allowed to discuss their professional career, or share their last name. The dinner has a community design where Jon guides all attendees through the preparation of the meal. Once seated and eating guests take turns guessing what their fellow attendees do professionally.[2]

Dinner Structure

The Influencers Dinner is known for being highly structured.[1]

Attendees

The guests have ranged from TV/movie stars, Olympians, scientists, business owners and executives to famed photographers, comedians, Internet celebrities, platinum music artists, Nobel Prize recipients and royalty.[1]

Although membership is kept secret several participants have been public about their attendance these include: Stacey London, Cameron Winklevoss, Andre Royo, Tamsen Fadal, Pauline Frommer, Bill Phillips, Anton Fig.[3] MTV legend Matt Pinfield, poker champion Andy Frankenberger, famed angel investor Esther Dyson, and MakeLoveNotPorn founder and TED presenter Cindy Gallop have also attended past dinners.[2]

The Private Online Community

After attending a dinner community members are invited to join a private online community composed entirely of former guests.[1]

The Founding of the Dinner

The dinner was conceived and developed by Jon Levy over the course of a year (2008 - 2009).[1] While sitting in a seminar the program leader shared that "The fundamental characteristics that define the quality of our lives are the people we surround ourselves with and the conversations we have with them." Taking this idea to heart Levy spent the next year designing an experience to: "Bring extraordinary people together to impact their live, their communities, and hopefully one day the world."[4]
