Byangsi (Rangkas) is a West Himalayish language of India and Nepal. Dialects are Pangjungkho Boli, Yerjungkhu Boli, and Kuti.
Geographical distribution
Byangsi is spoken in the Kuthi Yangti river valley, near the Tibet and Nepal borders. The Byangsi area extends from Byangs Patti from Budi in the south to Kuti village in the north. This area is located in Darchula and Munsyari tahsils, Pithoragarh district, Uttarakhand, India (Ethnologue). Villages include Nabi, Gunji, Napalchyu, Rongkang, and Garbyang.
