IFK Åmål is a Swedish football club located in Åmål in Västra Götaland County.[1]

Background

Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Åmål is a sports club from Åmål that was founded in 1908. The club spealises in football and handball. At one time the club also participated in bandy and in 1959 played in Sweden's top division. The football club played in Sweden's second-highest division in the 1927/28 season.

Since their foundation IFK Åmål has participated mainly in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. The club currently plays in Division 2 Norra Götaland which is the fourth tier of Swedish football. They play their home matches at the Örnäsvallens IP in Åmål.[2]

IFK Åmål are affiliated to Dalslands Fotbollförbund.[3]
