Hullbridge Sports Football Club is a football club based in Hullbridge, Essex, England. The club are currently members of the Essex Senior League and play at Lower Road. The club runs over 20 teams from under-6 through to men's senior football.
History
The club was established in 1945, and initially played in the Mid-Essex League. They later joined the Southend District League, before becoming members of the Southend Borough Combination in 1982.
In 1984, they joined Division Two of the Essex Olympian League, and were promoted to Division One in their first season after finishing third. They narrowly avoided relegation in their first season in Division One, finishing thirteenth out of fifteen clubs, but the following season finished bottom and were relegated back to Division Two. In 1990 the club was accepted into the Essex Senior League, where they have remained since.
Their best season to date was 2014–15, which saw them finished fourth, as well as reaching the fourth round of the FA Vase. In the following season they reached the second qualifying round of the FA Cup, their best performance in the competition.[2]
