The Holy Trinity College of General Santos City is a school in General Santos City. It is a non-sectarian school duly registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission, through its Davao City office. As an educational institution, its main thrust and concern is to assist the youth in the systematic and full development of their capabilities and to prepare them to become productive citizens of our country. Classified as non-profit, non-stock corporation and co educational institution dedicated to educate young men and women in the pursuit of knowledge with emphasis on achieving and maintaining academic excellence and concomitantly stressing to foster true Filipinism as well as aiming to develop a holistic and a universal outlook in the community, Holy Trinity College of General Santos City was established by the Albano Family, as a Pre-school in 1984 and registered as a College in 1989.

As an institutional committed to the cause of nation-building, Holy Trinity College of General Santos City rightly assumes the responsibility of imbuing deep sense of love of country to its students, with the ultimate goal of training them to be collectively responsive for the common good, for the betterment of the people and the country.

Determined to actualize its set of principles, Holy Trinity College of General Santos City, puts emphasis on the significance of the truth, the good and the beautiful in all academic levels, with the end view of training its students to speak about the truth, to do what is good and to appreciate what is beautiful at all times.

History

Holy Trinity College of General Santos City was established in 1984 by the Albano family. Five years later, it was registered as a College. Geared towards nation building, Holy Trinity has assumed the mantle of developing patriotism to its students while training them to be responsible citizens. It puts emphasis on the importance of truth, goodness, and beauty in the academic level in the hope of teaching the students to be honest and good.

The schools Secondary Education Program (SEP) traces its roots from its Grade School Program. Originally known as Holy Trinity School, the high school department was established in School Year 1988-89 with five teachers and 180 students. The high school building was then located at the site of the schools present nursery rooms, records storage room, and college library. In 1989, the pioneer batch of graduates held their commencement exercises.

In 1990, Holy Trinity School became Holy Trinity College of General Santos City. That same year, Dr. Consejo Albano and Capt. Josemar Albano were installed as Chairman and President of the Board of Trustees, respectively. Likewise, the number of teachers increased to nineteen. The number of graduates also went up to 47 consisting of 24 boys and 23 girls.

In SY 2001-2002, the High School program was integrated into the Basic Education Department along with pre-school and grade school. As part of its efforts for voluntary education, the high school department became the Secondary Education Program.

Courses offered

In accordance with CHED Memo Order #41 Series of 2008, Holy Trinity College of General Santos has been recognized by the Institutional Quality Assurance through Monitoring and Evaluation (IQuAME) of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as a Developing Institution in the Philippines. It offers various courses such as Business Administration, Education, Computer Education, Criminology, HRM, among others.

Likewise, it offers Technical Education courses like Practical Nursing, Computer Hardware Servicing, Computer Programming, Building Wiring Installation, to name just a few.
