Hiroshi Ogushi
Hiroshi Ogushi (大串 博志 Ōgushi Hiroshi, born August 31, 1965) is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Kishima District, Saga and graduate of the University of Tokyo, he joined the Ministry of Finance in 1989 and received an MBA from University of California, Los Angeles in the United States while in the ministry. Leaving the ministry in 2005, he was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in the same year.
Scandal
In June 2007, Ogushi was blamed for attending the funeral of a yakuza member.[1] The yakuza member, Zenji Tsurumaru, was a senior member of the designated yakuza group Kyushu Seido-kai, who was murdered by the group's rival syndicate Dojin-kai.[2]
