range of genus[1][2] |
Heteromirafra is a small genus of African larks in the Alaudidae family.
The genus contains two species:[3]
- Rudd's lark (Heteromirafra ruddi) (Grant, 1908)
- Archer's lark (Heteromirafra archeri) Clarke, 1920
The Sidamo lark was previously considered as a separate species within this genus (as H. sidamoensis), but has been considered conspecific with Archer's lark since 2014.[4] Note that the name "long-clawed lark" has been used to describe both species in this genus.[5][6]
