Herbert Finnigan (birth registered October→December 1889[1] – circa-Christmas 1915 (aged circa-26)) birth registered in Wakefield district, was a professional rugby league footballer of the 1910s, playing at club level for Outwood Church ARLFC, and Wakefield Trinity (Heritage #208), playing as a Wing or Centre, i.e. number 2 or 5, or, 3 or 4, he was killed during World War I, the first Wakefield Trinity player to die.[2]
