Hamid ul Haq (born 1 August 1964)[1] is Pakistani politician and a civil engineer who serves as the Member of National Assembly representing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from Constituency NA-2 Peshawar. Hamid ul Haq is also a member of PTI's parliamentary committee and its President of Peshawar District. Hamidul Haq belongs from Tehkal Bala, the suburban Peshawar village.[2][3]
Education and Politics
Hamidul Haq belongs from a non-political middle class Pashtun family. He holds a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from UET, Peshawar. Hamid was elected Member of Pakistani parliament's lower house, the National Assembly from NA-2 by defeating two former federal ministers namely Arbab Alamgir Khan and Arbab Najibullah.[4][5][6]
Political career
Hamid ul Haq joined PTI in 1997. He contest the general election from PK-5, KPK provincial Assembly Constituency, for the first time in 2002. But he did not succeeded, beaten by Maulana Aman Ullah Haqqani of JUI(F). In 2007, PTI boycotted general election 2008, so Hamid ul Haq did not participate in the election 2008. Hamid ul Haq contested in election 2013 and beat Arbab Alamgir Khan, former federal minister for communication.[7]
