Hangnaameedhoo (Dhivehi: ހަންޔާމީދޫ) is one of the inhabited islands of Alif Dhaal Atoll.

About the Island & It's History;
About Kiru Kendi Kamana (a lady who's breast was cut off)
There was a lady who lived in Hangnaameedhoo about .... years back. She was really renowned for her beauty in whole Maldives. Mans of the island were in fight to achieve her at any cost.
The tombstone of Hangnaameedhoo kirukendi Kamana is in Maafushi, most famous island for local tourism in the country. It's was built as a shrine and the whole place was there until the 2004 Tsunami hit the island.
Two narrations about Kiru Kendi Kamana;
1- It was the fight in between the two islanders of Hangnaameedhoo to marry her. She was thrown to the sea by killing her and cutting her breast off. The body of Kaman was drifted to Maafushi island and they found that she was the renowned beauty queen of the country. The islanders of Maafushi recognized Kamana by a ring worn on one of her finger.
2- It was a natural death while she was attending something at the seashore of the island and she was thrown away to the sea by the waves. She was drifted to Maafushi island and between the two islands her body was smashed several times at reefs and her breast was worn out.
