Guntucky is an American television reality series produced by Leftfield Pictures.[2] Guntucky revolves around the Sumner family, who own and operate a gun range. The family keeps the gun range running for their customers by selling various legal firearms, from cannons to machine guns.[3] The series was originally expected to premiere on CMT on January 26, 2013, but was pulled from the CMT schedule after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. It was then re-added and premiered April 21, 2013.[2][4]

Background

The series follows the Sumner family who own and operate the Knob Creek Gun Range, a gun range in Bullitt County, Kentucky.[3] The family keeps the gun range running by purchasing guns from customers who come to the range and selling various firearms, from cannons to machine guns.[3] Many of the episodes in the series follow a similar format. For example, in most of the episodes, the Sumner family must take on some kind of request for a customer, usually very odd requests.[5][6][7]
