Global College International (Nepali: ग्लोबल कलेज ईन्टरनेशनल), or GCI, is a private business college and GCE A level school based in the city of Kathmandu, Nepal. The institution was established in 2009. The college has been running A Level program and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs affiliated to Cambridge University and Shinawatra University, Thailand respectively.

The college has signed an MoU with the University of Warsaw to facilitate the students of Nepal with international degrees such as Bachelor of Arts/Master of Arts International Relations. All the programs are approved by the existing and upcoming programs has been approved by the government of Nepal.

Academic programs

A-level

[1] Global College International is a registered Cambridge International Examination Centre. Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) offers international courses, examinations and qualifications to students all over the world. A Level, as its name indicates, is an advanced international degree designed for academically inclined students.

Students who have taken the SLC/IGCSE or equivalent at the time of admission can apply.Each year Global College International uses an evaluation system to select a group of students to join the program

Clubs at A level program

The college has clubs where students, especially those in the A-Level program, organize workshops, training, concerts and other educational programs.

Club offices include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and executive members that number from 5 to 15 members. The clubs running are:

Master of Business Administration

[2] GCI offers MBA program in the day shift and evening shift.[3] All graduating students are conferred the master's degree by Shinawatra University, Thailand, upon successful completion of the program. The duration of both the MBA and the MBA Evening programs are of 24 months.

International Degree in Master of Business Administration (MBA) at GCI in affiliation with Shinawatra University is offered with the objective of preparing managers who are conversant in corporate governance, banking, resource management, national and international trades, HRM, tourism and hotel management. The program enables graduates to deal with economics, finance, banking, foreign exchange, insurance, international finance management, and international relation management. Students complete project works, term paper writing, presentation, seminars and internship for eight weeks.

[4] Students can use the library, e-library or surf the internet for electronic sources. Besides, the college ensures all kinds of outdoor as well as indoor Sports facilities.

The classrooms are equipped with multimedia devices, intranets, and Wi-Fi services. The college buildings are air conditioned with computers with internet facilities and digital resources.

Scholarships

About 60% of its pupils are granted scholarships based on merit and need after a selective entrance exam. GCI also offer partial financial aid to a limited number of exceptional candidates.
