Gary McDaid, sometimes known as David,[2] is a Gaelic football manager. Currently overseeing Glenswilly, he has led that team to two Donegal Senior Football Championships (2011 and 2013).[3] They also won the 2013 All-County Football League Division Two title.[4] He took a year off in 2012 and the team failed to win the Championship.[5] He blessed Michael Murphy before he captained Ireland.[6] McDaid achieved national recognition for his criticisms of the county board.[7][8] He is currently a selector with the Donegal inter-county team.

He also teaches P.E.E. at Saint Eunan's College and manages some of its teams. He is married with two children.[9]
