Garry King is a British-born drummer and producer who plays for Achillea. His previous work involved recording and touring with artists such as Exorcism[1] Joe Lynn Turner, Jeff Beck, Rick Hale etc.
Biography
Born in Woking, Surrey United Kingdom in 1965, he resides in South West France. He started playing at the age of 9 and during his time in the UK worked with a number of top artists including studio work with Jeff Beck.
In 2000 he moved to the USA after an introduction to Nashville's head of Global marketing at Warner brothers records where he lived until 2005 mainly in New Mexico where he started the Making it Count Music motivation program aimed at middle and high school students.
Works with Rick Hale
Also during this time he worked with Grammy-nominated producer and writer Rick Hale and Grammy board of director, artist, producer and head of Sound of America Records Tom Bee. King moved back to Europe at the end of 2005 and set up a studio and small production company working for other artists.
Tour with Joe Lynn Turner
In 2009/10 he played two large South American tours with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow and Deep Purple vocalist Joe Lynn Turner and since then has continued a close connection with Brazil.[2]
Online Recording Masters
In 2011 he partnered with Online Recording Masters in Greece opening more doors to production and recording.[3]
Studio work
From 2011 to present he has worked on a number of other large original projects as drummer and producer including Achillea and Australian Gothic Metal female artist Darkyra Black, as well as working on some progressive instrumental tracks with Thiago Trinsi and Mike LePond bassist of Symphony X[4]
Exorcism
King joined the multinational doom metal act Exorcism in August 2013.
