Francesca Pianzola was a Swiss athlete of Italian origin. She competed in the two-handed[2] javelin throw and shot put[3] at the 1921 and 1922 Women's World Games, and won a silver and a gold medal in the javelin.[4] She was ranked fifth in the world in the traditional javelin throw in 1923.[1]
