Four Winds New Buffalo is a casino, hotel and entertainment venue located in New Buffalo Township, Michigan, near New Buffalo, which opened on August 2, 2007. It is the primary property of Four Winds Casinos, which are all owned and operated by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.[1][2]
Architecturally the casino's rotunda is built in the style of the Potawatomi people's traditional lodges.[1]
The Chicago Tribune reported that if the casino were on the Las Vegas Strip, it would be the second largest there.[1] In March 2015, USA Today named it one of the ten best casinos located outside of Las Vegas.[3]
History
The original project was designed by Urban Design Group and cost approximately US$180,000,000 (equivalent to $205,767,935 in 2015). It expanded in 2011 due to its success, adding 250 hotel rooms and a multi-purpose facility.[2]
Gaming
The 130,000 square feet (12,000 m2) gaming floor[4] features over 3,000 slot machines and over 60 table games featuring games such as blackjack, craps, poker, and roulette.[5] The Four Winds Casinos loyalty program, the W Club, is in use at this property.[6]

The casino includes several dining establishments, including a Hard Rock Cafe and the Copper Rock Steakhouse.[5]
Hotel
The facility includes a 415-room hotel.[5] It originally opened with 165, and 250 rooms were added in 2011.[2]
Entertainment
The facility features entertainment venues for adults and children.[5] There is a supervised activity center, known as Kids Quest, for children 6 weeks to 12 years old.[7] There is also a supervised arcade for all ages, known as Cyber Quest, featuring non-violent games.[8]
Silver Creek Event Center
The Silver Creek Event Center is an event and concert venue at the casino.[9] The center has featured performers such as Gregg Allman, Colbie Caillat, Sammy Hagar, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Patti LaBelle,[10] and Frank Sinatra, Jr.[9][11]

The facility includes limited shopping, including a Hard Rock Cafe Rock Shop, a gift shop, a clothing store, and a boutique featuring Landau, Michal Negrin, and Boccelli merchandise.[12]
