Flesland

Flesland is a village in Bergen municipality, Norway. As of January 1, 2008, its population is 335.[1]
It is the site of Bergen Airport, Flesland and Flesland Air Station.
The name
The village is named after the old farm Flesland, and the Norse form of the name was probably Flesjaland. The first element is the genitive plural of fles f 'skerry, sunken rock', the last element is land n 'land, farm'.
