Fire Force (Japanese: 炎炎ノ消防隊 Hepburn: Enn Enn no Shouboutai) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ōkubo. It is published by Kodansha and has been serialized in the Weekly Shōnen Magazine since 23 September 2015, with the chapters collected into five tankōbon volumes as of October 2016.

Plot

In a world plagued by a strange phenomena of humans spontaneously self-combusting, turning into monsters known as "Flame Humans", special fire brigades were assembled to destroy them and protect the populace. Shinra Kusakabe, a boy with the ability to ignite his feet at will, joins the 8th Special Fire Brigade of Tokyo to fight the Flame Humans and uncover the truth behind a mysterious incident that caused the death of his family when he was a child.

Manga

Fire Force is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ōkubo. It began its serialization in the manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Magazine on September 23, 2015. Its individual chapters have been collected into five tankōbon volumes by Kodansha, the first released on February 17, 2016. The series is licensed for English language release in North America by Kodansha Comics USA, which will publish the first volume on November 8, 2016.
