Felix Leiter is an upcoming comic book featuring the eponymous character, who is primarily featured in Ian Fleming's James Bond novels and various other formats by several other creators. Written by James Robinson and illustrated by Aaron Campbell, the comic book is a spin-off from the James Bond series published by Dynamite Entertainment, scheduled to make its debut in January 2017. It also marks the first time for Bond's ally and friend, Felix Leiter to get a solo adventure in any format overall. It is also licensed by Ian Fleming Publications that hold the literary rights to the James Bond franchise.

Premise

Felix Leiter is contracted by Tiger Tanaka to investigate a terrorist act in Japan while he tracks down a woman from his past who appears to be a Russian spy. But, when the mission takes a turn for the worse, he will discover that there are more deadly schemes afoot in Tokyo and beyond.

Publication History

The Spin-off miniseries was first announced in October 2016 with Felix Leiter taking on the role of the main protagonist, starring in his own first ever adventure in the comic book simply called Felix Leiter by creators James Robinson and Aaron Campbell,[1] with the first issue being set to come out on 11 January 2017.[2] During an interview with Bleeding Cool, Robinson revealed he has an idea for a trilogy involving Leiter if the first series performs commercially well and is hoping for the character to grow into his own franchise.[3]
