FMC Technologies, Inc. is an American provider of equipment and services for the energy industry. FMC Technologies designs, manufactures and services systems and products such as subsea production and processing systems, surface wellhead systems, high pressure pumps and fluid control equipment, measurement solutions and marine loading systems for the oil and gas industry.

FMC Technologies was incorporated in 2000 when FMC Corporation divested its machinery businesses. FMC Technologies has its headquarters in northern Houston, Texas.[1]

History

On October 1, 2012, the company acquired Pure Energy Services.[2]

FMC-Technip Merger to Create $13 Billion Oil-Services Firm[3] FMC Technologies Inc. and French oil-services rival Technip SA agreed to merge, forming a significant new player in an energy industry racked by a nearly two-year slump in crude prices.

The all-share deal would result in a new company named TechnipFMC with a market value of about $13 billion.
