Exmorra (West Frisian: Eksmoarre) is a small village in Súdwest-Fryslân in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. In 2009, it had a population of around 450.
Overview
The village has a Christian primary school. Every year there is a village festival, and there are several neighborhood associations. Exmorra has a months leaf for the residents of Exmorra and Allingawier.
Exmorra has 21 associations or foundations and 17 different companies. There is also a church which was built in the 13th century.
In the 1960s, Exmorra had several shops and businesses but there are none today.
In winter there is a skating rink. Over the years, the lakes of Makkum and Parrega have been pumped empty. In Exmorra there is a grocer and candy shop dating from 1885. Behind this building a village school was established. The living rooms in the shop are furnished in old style. Behind the building is a shoemaker's workshop. There is also a doll shop and a sports field.
