EverCharge is an electric vehicle infrastructure company, based in Emeryville, California. The company was founded in 2013 by Jason Appelbaum (CEO).

EverCharge was named one of the top ten automotive startups of 2016 by the Los Angeles Auto Show and Fortune Magazine.

EverCharge offers Wirlessless Networked Charging Stations designed for urban environments and multi-unit dwellings. EverCharge charging stations communicate thorugh a mesh network in a designated area allowing them to efficiently use power and extended the life of existing building electrical infrastructure.

EverCharge uses a proprietary software called SmartPower, which takes into account variables such as station usage, charge capacity, and driver charging habits to become more efficient as time goes on.

Charging Stations

The companies first charging stations were installed in Emeryville, California at the home of founder and current CEO Jason Appelbaum. The original units were designed to leverage the small amount of shared powered that exists in multifamily garages and use it to its maximum efficiency. Each unit has power monitoring built in and is capable of tracking the power each resident uses and billing them at a later date giving the building the opportunity to recoup the cost of electricity easily.

EverCharge expanded and rolled out Nationwide in 2015.

SmartPower

SmartPower is a patented solution that intelligently manages power based on vehicle demand. When the system senses extra power is available, or the rated capacity is reached, the system allocates power to vehicles according to their needs, providing vehicles with the fastest charging possible.
