Erica McDermott (born April 26, 1973) is an American actress, best known for her role as Cindy "Tar" Eklund, the lead's character's sister, in David O. Russell's film The Fighter (2010).[1][2]
Life and career
McDermott was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She began her career appearing in Boston stage productions, before she was cast as Mark Wahlberg's character's sister in the David O. Russell film The Fighter (2010).[1] She later appeared in two more Russell films, American Hustle and Joy. [3] In 2015, she also played Benedict Cumberbatch's wife in the crime drama film Black Mass.[3]
