Ellis Genge (born 16 February 1995[1]) is an English rugby union prop who currently plays for Aviva Premiership side Leicester Tigers having moved on loan from Bristol in January 2016.[2] The move was made permanent at the end of May 2016.[3]
At the time he was first called up to the England squad in 2016, Genge had only been playing in the front row for three years, having played most of his teen rugby as a No 8 before being moved from the back row while at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire.[4]
In May 2016, he received his first call up to the England squad after only 1 start for Leicester Tigers.[5] He came on after 66 minutes in a win against Wales.[6]
