Ekaterina Junge or Ekaterina Tolstoya (24 November, 1843 – 20 January, 1913) was a Russian painter. Her two books are memoirs of a life in the Russian literati by a member of the Tolstoy family.


Life

Junge was born in Saint Petersburg in 1843 to Fyodor Petrovich Tolstoy. Her family name was Tolsttoya and she was a distant cousin of Leo Tolstoy. Her father was a vice President of the Imperial Academy of Arts.

She married Professor Eduard Junge.[1] Her paintings are in Russian national art gallerys.

Junge died in Moscow in 1913.
