The Olympus PEN E-PL7 is a rangefinder-styled digital mirrorless interchangeable lens camera announced by Olympus Corp. on August 28, 2014. It succeeds the Olympus PEN E-PL6. About the autofocus, Olympus writes in its press release announcing the camera uses "Olympus’s fastest-ever AF system and [...] 81 [autofocus] points that cover the whole image."^[1] This speed claim follows similar assertions made by other manufacturers for their recent mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras, including Sony^[2] and Fujifilm.^[3]

Imaging Resource showed that the Olympus PEN E-PL7 can give good performance for indoor sport action.^[4]
