Domingo Gribeo y Martin (1558–1649) was a Spanish Military, Mayordomo of Hospital,[1] and Regidor of Buenos Aires during the Viceroyalty of Peru.[2]
Biography
Born in Asuncion, his parents were Leonardo Gribeo (born in Italy) and Isabel Martín daughter of Manuel Martin.[3] Domingo Gribeo married to María, daughter of Rodrigo de Esterlín and Juana de Solórzano, and granddaughter of conquistadores Arnao Esterlin and Zoilo de Solórzano (born in Islas Canarias).[4]
Domingo had inherited the land from his brother Lazaro Gribeo, neighbor founder of Buenos Aires, companion of Juan de Garay in the second foundation of the city.[5]
