Disputes tribunal
Disputes Tribunals are small claims courts in New Zealand which can hear disputed civil claims up to $15,000 (up to $20,000 with both parties' consent) that would otherwise be heard in the District Court.
The Tribunals are administered under the Disputes Tribunals Act 1988 and replaced the Small Claims Court. Each Tribunal is a division of a District Court.
