Derdas
Derdas (Ancient Greek: Δέρδας) was archon of Elimiotis during the time of Philip II of Macedon. His sister, Phila, married Philip.[1]
He had two sons, Derdas and Machatas. Machatas was father of Machatas, Harpalus and Philip, who became the satrap of India. In 380 BC, Derdas and King Amyntas of Macedon supported the Spartan Army led by Teleutias against the Olynthian confederacy of Chalcidian states. Derdas also aided Agesipolis I, who was sent by Sparta to continue the war after Teleutias was killed.
