Battlebots

Danknick gained comedic notoriety in the robotics community with his successful (or interesting) appearances on the Comedy Central show Battlebots. The robot created by his Team Delta, Hazard, was consistently one of the highest ranked middleweight robots in the entire competition. After Battlebots, Team Delta maintained prominence as a provider of various robotics related parts.

Botbash

Danknick's Team Delta sponsored the Botbash 2002 event hosted in Tempe, Arizona. Danknick also competed with a new robot, Archetype.

Robotica

Danknick hosted the TLC show Robotica for the second and third seasons, acting as a technical commentator.

Monster Garage

Danknick appeared on an episode of the Discovery Channel show Monster Garage, where he and the other builders were tasked with transforming a Suzuki Samurai into a hot air balloon.

I'm With Busey

Danknick had a small part in an episode of the Comedy Central series I'm With Busey. Danknick was a robot builder visited by Gary Busey and Adam de la Pena who tried to show Busey that not all technology was destructive. This portion of the episode was shot at Danknick's machine shop in Anaheim, CA. Two robots were built in the days before: one semi-lame wedge sporting turkey wings and an air vent, and the other a high power flipper with a propane torch. Adam got the flame, Busey the turkey.

SERVO Magazine

Danknick served as the first technical editor of SERVO Magazine, the robotics publication. He was also a driving force behind the magazine's robotics competition, Tetsujin.
