Dan Carrillo Levy

Dan Carrillo Levy is an American film director and producer.

He started at a very early age. By the age of 18, Dan was already directing music videos for Universal Music Group Latin America, when he was still in college (Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas) he created, produced, directed and developed the Mexican TV hit sensation El Reporterito during the 2008 Summer Olympics from Beijing for Televisa.

Dan Carrillo worked with famed writer/director Guillermo Arriaga ( Babel, Amores Perros) on his directing debut The Burning Plain

In 2009 he co-produced the 2010 film by director Jorge Colon (Cansada De Besar Sapos) "Sin Ella" for Disney Mexico (Miravista). "Sin Ella" stars Luis Roberto Guzman, Zuria Vega, Lola Dueñas and Paola Nuñez.

Dan has been actively involved in films that have screened at major international film festivals. Was also highly involved in producing the feed of the Beijing 2008 Olympics for Televisa Mexico, specially the Creation, Direction and Production of one of the most successful segments (El Reporterito).

Served as Director of New Projects for Lemon Films USA where he worked on the development of new projects, that include involvement in projects like House Of My Father (Will Ferrell, Diego Luna, Gael Garcia). Served as Consulting Head of Department of Creative and Interactive at H&M Communications, developing content and creating marketing/publicity campaigns for Film Studios, TV Shows and Products like: The Thing (Universal Studios), Q’Viva (Fox/Televisa/Univision), The Muppets (Disney), The Lorax (Universal) and Snow White & The Huntsman (Universal).

Has Directed commercials for companies like Cacique, De La Barracuda and Verde Valle among others. Directed Music Videos for artists like El Trono De Mexico, Larry Hernandez, Fato, Mayte and Elsa Rios.

In 2012 worked on different occasions alongside Guillermo Arriaga (one of the key inspirational people on his career) on Words With Gods and Broken Night.

Directed and Produced ZERO HOUR, a short film featured in over 45 Worldwide Film Festivals with Jaime Camil and Camilla Belle, Written by Guillermo Arriaga with an Original Score by Sergio Vallin from Mana.

Dan holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Cinema and Television Production from SMU as well as other certifications from renowned institutions worldwide like The New York Film Academy.

In 2015 founded Moxie 88, Boutique Film Studio were Dan serves as Chief Creative Officer.

Currently on Pre-Production on Feature Film Debut "Mortem" and Moxie 88 Produced Major Feature Film "Little Bitches"
