Cristian Marian Manea (born 9 August 1997) is a Romanian footballer who plays as a right back for the club of Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz, on loan from Apollon Limassol.[1]
Club career
Viitorul Constanța
Manea, who was born in Constanța, is a youth exponent from Viitorul Constanța. He made his Liga I debut during the 2013–14 season.[2]
Apollon Limassol
Apollon Limassol signed the Romanian international after agreeing a fee with his current side Viitorul, ProSport reported on 10 February 2016.[3] Before that, Romanian media reported that Manea was sold to Chelsea F.C. for around 2.3 million pounds,[4] but the rumours proved to be false.
Loan to Royal Mouscron
On 28 August 2015 he joined Royal Mouscron Peruwelz on a season-long loan from Apollon Limassol.
International career
Manea has been capped at under-17 and under-19 level.
On 24 May 2014, Manea was called up by coach Victor Pițurcă to the senior team, after only 5 matches at club level.[5] He made his debut on 31 May 2014, playing the entire match against Albania and becoming the youngest player to appear for the Romania national football team, breaking the previous record set by Grațian Sepi in 1928.[6]
