Craig Fairbrass (born 15 January 1964)[1] is an English actor.
Life and career
Fairbrass was born in Mile End, East London. He made his acting debut in the feature film For Queen and Country opposite Denzel Washington. He also appeared in an episode of the BBC television series Big Deal in the episode "Fighting Chance" in 1980. This was followed by appearances such as Gary 'Technique' Pagnall in the ITV drama series London's Burning between 1990 and 1991 and as Detective Frank Burkin in Prime Suspect 1 and 2 . He has also appeared in Cliffhanger with Sylvester Stallone and The Bank Job with Jason Statham.
Fairbrass appeared as Dan Sullivan in EastEnders from 1999 to 2001. A one-hour special won the BAFTA for best Drama. He also took the lead role of Ray Betson in the Channel Four crime drama The Great Dome Robbery. Soon afterwards Fairbrass returned to the US, and he starred as Henry Caine in White Noise 2 : The Light. In February 2007 he appeared as the renegade Jaffa, Arkad, in the episode "Talion" in the final season of Stargate SG-1. Guest star roles followed in The Unit and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
In 2007, he starred in the feature film Rise of the Footsoldier. He also voiced "Gaz" in the videogame Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007), Ghost in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and Sgt. Wallcroft in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.[2] In March 2008, he appeared in the US television series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. He starred in the vampire film Dead Cert[3] alongside Billy Murray. Billy Murray has been his co-star in Rise of the Footsoldier, Freight and Just For The Record.[4] He played the role of a mercenary Cole opposite Danny Dyer and Jaime Murray in the zombie action film Devil's Playground. In 2011 Fairbrass took the co-lead in the crime thriller St Georges Day, lead roles in Vikingdom 3D, House Of The Rising Sun, Hijacked and Get Lucky.
In 2012 Fairbrass took his first lead role in a US action thriller The Outsider, co-starring with Jason Patric, James Caan and Shannon Elizabeth.
In 2014 he appeared in the thriller Breakdown alongside James Cosmo, Bruce Payne, Emmett Scanlan, Olivia Grant and Tamer Hassan; he also took the lead role of Jack Cregan in the revenge thriller London Heist, which he co-wrote. The film was produced by his son Luke Fairbrass. Fairbrass went on to win the Best Actor Award at the Marbella Film festival 2016 for the role.
Craig has just finished work on two new motion capture games - Squadron 42 (star citizen) and the new Call of Duty - Infinite Warfare with Kit Harrington. Fairbrass is currently filming Rise of the foot soldier 3 The Beginning, reprising his role of Pat Tate.
Fairbrass is married to Elke Kellick, a former Page Three model, and they have two sons together Jack and Luke.[5]
