Colleen Leigh Farrington[3] (August 5, 1936 – October 12, 2015)[4] was an American model and nightclub singer.[5][6]
She was the mother of Academy Award-nominated actress Diane Lane. She was also Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its October 1957 issue. Her pictorial was photographed by Peter Basch.[2]
Life and career
Farrington was born in Davisboro, Georgia, the daughter of Eleanor Briggs.[2] Before becoming a Playmate, Farrington was a fashion model in New York City and was a particular favorite of fashion designer Oleg Cassini. She also had some acting roles.[5][7][8][9]
She eventually married acting coach Burton Eugene Lane, and divorced him in 1965, shortly after her daughter, Diane, was born.[10][11] She later settled in Georgia and married Lawrence Price.[5]
