CMDBuild is an open source software to manage the configuration database (CMDB).
CMDBuild is compliant with ITIL "best practices" for the IT services management according to process-oriented criteria.
Usage
CMDBuild supports the management of hardware devices (client and server computers, peripheral devices, network and phone equipment), software (basic, environment, application), services, documents (contracts, manuals) and other.

CMDBuild includes the open source engine Together Workflow Server (TWS) for the collaborative management of IT processes, it provides a Liferay portlet used as simplified user interface, it includes the open source reporting engine JasperReports to manage custom reports, it allows the configuration of dashboards, it uses Alfresco as embedded DMS, it is able to interoperate with external systems through its webservice SOAP, it includes GIS functionalities to georeference assets and their visualization on geographical maps and/or plans.
