He specialises in fundraisings and mergers and acquisitions, both public and private. Clive Hopewell and fellow partner James Hyne are leading the administration of Awal Bank [1]. The appointment of Charles Russell LLP as external administrator was made by the Central Bank of Bahrain in its statutory capacity as the banking regulator of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Clive Hopewell is currently chair of the British Bahrain Business Forum Lawyers’ Group.[2] This group has been active in campaigning for a system where major disputes between national and international companies operating in Bahrain can be dealt with by an arbitration chamber rather than its courts.
