Chie Nakamura (中村 千絵 Nakamura Chie, born May 14, 1978), affectionately called Chie-chan (千絵ちゃん), is a Japanese voice actress originally from Tokyo, Japan who works for AXL-One. She is best known as the voice of Sakura Haruno in the Naruto series.[1] She was discovered by a voice actor by the name of Yasuo Muramatsu.
Career
Interested in singing and acting from a young age, she was part of a children's theater company in elementary school and junior high school. She aspired to become an actress at Takarazuka Revue (an all-female Japanese musical theater) but because she couldn't dance Nakamura gave up on it. On the advice of her younger sister she decided to become a voice actress. Nakamura focuses mainly on dubbing foreign films into Japanese and is also narrator for documentaries. From 1998 to 2012 she was represented by the Office Kaoru. In April 2012 she left the agency for freelance. On July 1, 2012 she became represented by AXL-One.
