Charlie Shoemake (born July 27, 1937, Houston, Texas) is an American jazz vibraphonist living in California.[1] He played in George Shearing's Quintet for seven years, starting in 1967.[2] He also played vibes on the original soundtrack of the Clint Eastwood directed film Bird.[3] He is the Director of the Central Coast Jazz Institute.[4] His wife Sandi is a jazz singer and sings on many of his albums.[5]
