The Atlantic black-breasted woodpecker (Celeus tinnunculus) is a bird in the Picidae family formerly considered conspecific with the ringed woodpecker (Celeus torquatus). This species is found on Brazil's Atlantic coast between Salvador and Vitória, Espírito Santo. It occurs in tall, humid forest in Brazil's Atlantic Forest region and is typically encountered singly or in pairs.[1]
