Campaign Guide
The Campaign Guide is produced by the British Conservative Party and is an encyclopedia of political facts designed to help Conservative candidates in elections.
The Guide was first published in 1892 by a group of Scottish Conservatives who were unhappy with the material provided by Conservative Central Office in London. In 1914 control of the Guide was wrested from the Scottish Conservative Party and since 1950 it has been produced by the Conservative Research Department. It is known by some journalists as 'the blue bible' and no other British political party produces a campaign guide.
