Callum Reynolds (Born 10 November 1989).[1] is an English professional footballer who plays in defence for Boreham Wood. He has also represented the England national football C team.[2]
Career
Reynolds began his career as a player with Rushden & Diamonds in the 2006-07 season. On 5 July 2007, Portsmouth signed Reynolds for an undisclosed fee.[3]
On 14 March 2009, he signed on a one-month loan for Conference South club Basingstoke Town, which was later extended to the end of the season. However, four days later, Reynolds fractured his cheekbone in a 2-2 draw with Havant & Waterlooville, and was sent back to Portsmouth for treatment. He made 8 league appearances for Basingstoke, scoring once.
On his return to the club, Reynolds signed loan terms with Luton Town for six months in the summer of 2009,[4] in his time there he made six first team appearances in the Conference Premier.
Reynolds played three years at Portsmouth in the Premier Reserve League [5] whilst captaining the side.
He re-joined Basingstoke Town of the Conference South on a permanent basis in October 2010 and quickly established himself as a key first team player, making 35 appearances and scoring 2 goals for the club.[6] This form led him to sign for Conference National side Tamworth for the 2011-12 season.
Joining Tamworth for their 2011-12 Conference National campaign, Reynolds made three appearances before being loaned out to Corby Town (scoring for them in the FA Cup against Kidderminster and in the first round against Bristol Rovers) and Boreham Wood.
Reynolds joined current club Boreham Wood , permanently in July 2012 and has currently made over 150 club (including cup) appearances, a landmark he reached in 2016.[7] He is the current club captain, having led the team to promotion to the Conference in 2015[8]
Reynolds was part of the squad after switching to a full-time professional with Boreham Wood on 15 September 2015, the team managed to keep afloat in the National League with a win 3-0 away at Welling United in the last game of the 2015-16 league season.[9]
