The station was given approval by the CRTC on February 14, 2001.[1]
Notes
On April 20, 2012, an unrelated company to the Ottawa MacDonald-Cartier International Airport Authority, known as Papoo Holdings Inc. was denied a licence to operate a new ethnic/multilingual format on the AM frequency of 1630 kHz, the same frequency currently used by CHYW. [2]
