The Brasil Game Cup[1] consolidated Brasil in the international e-Sports scenario.[2][3]
The tournament was held during Brasil Game Show, seventh edition, in the year 2014, making its debut at the biggest videogames Fair in Latin America, in an area of more than 7.500m².
There were eight guest teams, five from Brazil and others three from other countries of Latin America. There was a sum of R$60k.
The Brasil Game Cup' was also transmitted by the tournament`s channel and by the Brasil Game Show channel on Twitch.
The Brasil Game Cup presented the Ralph Baer Trophy.[4] The trophy was named after Ralph because he is known as the “Father of Videogames”. His famous by his many contributions in the fields of technology, specially in the gaming field. He invented the first domestic console ever registered and, for many, opened the videogames industry.
Prize:
The tournament had a big sum of money as the prize, R$60.000,00[5]
The sum was divided in the following order:
- # 1º place: R$40.000,00 – paiN Gaming (BRA)
- # 2º place: R$15.000,00 – Isurus Gaming (ARG)
- # 3º place: R$5.000,00 – KeyD Stars (BRA)
